I'm artist M Crosland. The XIT Gallery asked if I would share a few words about my faith in Christ. Jesus Christ changed my life! I'm living proof. As I was growing up, one of my Dad's favorite admonitions was "If you are not prepared to die, then neither are you prepared to live." The most important thing anyone can do on planet earth, then, is prepare to live.
One of the things I place great value on is inner peace. As an artist, I find that the flow of my creativity is directly related to my peace of mind and well being. Being fearful over jobs, relationships, family, income- you fill in the blank, will rob anyone of the peace and tranquility we all long for.
Jesus said, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." John 14:17 New Living Translation Bible. There are so many blessings in living a life that is transformed by the life-changing power of Jesus christ, it is impossible to state them all here.
God loves you. He created you and He knows everything about your life. You don’t need to live a life that is fearful or without peace. Jesus said, “I’ll never leave you nor forsake you.” If you’ve never invited Jesus Christ into your heart, if you’ve never trusted Him as your Savior, you can do that right now. Simply pray this prayer, “God, I’m a sinner. I’m sorry for my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is your Son and I want to invite Him to come into my heart and life. I’m willing to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen"
If you prayed that prayer, God heard you, He has forgiven you and your name is now written in the Book of Life. I encourage you to begin reading the Bible- start with the book of John. It is available in many versions online. The New Living Translation Bible is one of my favorites. Even better, get the Olive Tree Bible App (or other Bible app) on your phone.
